Associate Sales Engineer

Position Summary:

 This is a client facing role. The Associate Sales Engineer will work with closely with Operations, Sales, Support, Product, and Marketing groups as well as external partners, prospects and customers. The Sales Engineer will support the Lotame Data Management Platform—a SaaS platform that is used by ad agencies, publishers and brands at mid tier to enterprise levels.

 As an Associate Sales Engineer you will act as the primary technical resource for the sales team and Customer Success group. You are responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the pre-sales process, working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisor and product advocate for our products. You must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users. You are responsible for identifying all technical issues of assigned accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process and during the early stages of implementation in partnership with the technical account managers and Customer Success Managers

 The ideal candidate is capable of rapidly learning and understanding a complex technology at a granular level, and has the genius and creative to illuminate how Lotame’s technology can be translated into business solutions for a wide variety of customers in a wide variety of industries and businesses.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support Sales in customer acquisition.  
  • Develop strategic approaches for prospects with Sales team expressed in documents written and presentations given
  • Provide technical support to Sales teams internally and prospects during the sales process externally
  • Respond to RFP/RFI requests as part of the sales process
  • Prepare documentation on client’s implementation plan for internal support teams
  • Work with marketing to help create, maintain technology sales marketing materials
  • Identify new client opportunities, survey the marketplace and display landscape. Stay up to date on relevant changes in the industry in terms of product offerings, company acquisitions and new technology.
  • Analyze and optimize service processes to create operational improvements. Save time by optimizing manual processes to be more efficient in how you and your team spend their time and resources to meet your goals.
  • Complete feedback loop of client requests for features to the technology product team. Act as a conduit between Sales and Product Managers as new features are rolled out.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology or a related field, AND
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience, OR
  • Relevant combination of education and experience
  • Preferred: Sales or Account Management experience
  • Preferred: Experience with online advertising industry and audience targeting
  • Preferred: Experience in campaign delivery or trafficking or inventory management

Necessary Skills:

  • Organized and analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.

  • Strong relationship building and social skills
  • Strong business and operational analytical skills
  • Strong understanding of internet display or audience targeting technology. Ad tech and Martech.
  • Strong decision making and problem solving skills

  • Ability to independently manage and drive personal workload. Independent time management
